Key updates include a new requirement for sprinklers installed in dwelling units for more than 50 years. These sprinklers must now be replaced with new fast-response sprinklers or successfully pass a thermal sensitivity performance test to remain in service.

The edition also includes revised limits on permissible antifreeze mixtures, ensuring safer system operation and reducing fire risk associated with improper concentrations.
